O God, who by the merits of blessed Francis dost increase thy Church with a new offspring: grant, we beseech thee; that after his pattern we may learn to despise all things earthly, and ever to rejoice in the partaking of thy heavenly bounty. Through Jesus Christ thy Son our Lord. Who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen.
